Learning Outcome 4
The Peer Review I chose for this learning outcome is the final time we did peer review, peer review 3. In this peer review a lot of the feedback I gave back to my peers was that maybe they should add another quote here and there to help support them more on what they are trying to say. Also for this person especially for this peer review their essay did not sound like it had any of their opinion or voice in it. It sounded too factual and it wasn’t right for this type of essay. So I told her to put more of her in her essay.
Going back and looking at my early peer review work I can say I have improved a lot and gotten a lot better at it. In the beginning I didn’t give enough input I think, also I kept what I said very short and not that helpful. But as I kept doing it more and more I gave more and more feedback and got more helpful in my opinion from what I could see.
For doing peer review practice all the annotating we did really did help me. Just practicing writing down my opinion and questions made it a bit easier for me during the peer review process. For example I will always look for things that do not belong, seeing if they need anymore quotes to support their statements, anything that really stands out to me that I also think is really good.
