For this assignment we had to make a technology tool kit which included six to eight different tools, a description of the tool, and why you chose it. Throughout the course we have been discussing different apps and sites that can help integrate technology into the classroom. My dream grade is kindergarten and with that being such a young grade I wanted to be very careful with the tools I chose because I want the parents of my students to be able to access a lot the tools that we use in the classroom so that more learning can happen at home but also these are ones we have been talking about. over the course of the semester and have been some of my favorites. Standard 11 says effective teachers model and apply the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS•S) as they design, implement, and assess learning experiences to engage students and improve learning; enrich professional practice; and provide positive models for students, colleagues, and the community. This assignment relates to the standard because with having this tool kit I can help keep my students engaged and using technology, I can make sure I am integrate technology, and this will. help improve my students and I.

This assignment will help me be a better teacher in the future because these are apps and tools I can use in the classroom. I have used some of these tools in this course this semester and it has showed me safe ways to use technology in a classroom with younger children. Being able to integrate technology into a younger aged classroom is something I feel I will be able to do now after taking this class because throughout this class we have been showed and learned ways to integrate tech into the classroom for all grade levels + what to teach our kids about technology and how to use it safety and educationally. I will definitely be using online movement breaks and online field trips a lot in my future classroom because since I want to teach kindergarten I feel like these are going to be great tools to help me integrate technology.
