For this artifact we were assigned to either make a powerpoint or write a four to five page paper explaining what and how we would run our math block. In this strategy it says the teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the community context. I think this artifact goes very well with the standard because the students have to be at different stations doing different content. In each station it is meeting a students needs depending on whether they work better in, whole group, small group, or individual instruction/work.
This artifact was a little difficult for me at first because making sure that I had all the correct information to put into my math block. This is something that I am going to be using in my future classroom so I wanted it to be as correct as possible. Going back to material we went over to class was a big help when making the math block. This is going to expand my knowledge for when I am in my future classroom because I can use this math block in my future classroom when I am teaching a math block and if I decided to do it a different way I still have it to look back on for ideas.
