For this artifact I chose to talk about my experience with fieldwork I have been doing the past two months. I have been going to JFK elementary every Thursday from nine to ten am. I go into a kindergarten classroom and it is absolutely amazing. The reason I chose to talk about my fieldwork is because that is where I see hands-on instruction and interactions in a learning environment that isn’t my own. Since they are so young teaching them is going to be a lil more difficult because getting their attention and keeping it is a challenge in itself. There are some students in the class that have accommodations and need more support than others. Mrs.McTaggort does a great job at giving them those accommodations and what she needs and all the students are very supportive of each other. 

This assignment will help me improve future practice as an effective educator because being in the classroom and being able to work with students earlier on then internship is great experience in general but it also helps with getting comfortable in a classroom. Seeing how it is run is a whole new experience and I give all teachers props for what they do everyday. It is not easy. This also helps me get more familiar with the common core standards.
