For this assignment we had to create and do a two lessons one whole group and one small group lesson in our fieldwork classrooms. I chose to share my whole group lesson plan as the artifact. I believe that this assignment aligns with standard one learner development because in standard one it says the teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning an development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences. When creating lesson plans you want to meet the needs of your students to help them grow and develop.

Any time we are assigned to make a lesson plan it is just helping us practice and get better at them before going off into our teaching carrier and having to have multiple lesson plans ready for the day. Being able to perform the lesson I actually created is an amazing teaching experience because I am getting hands on experience instead of assuming how the lesson would go and what the results would be. I can actually see the results of my lesson and can receive live feedback from my reading coach when I was performing my whole group lesson. All of this will help me expand my pedagogical knowledge and improves my future practice as an effective educator.
