For this artifact we had to pull together everything that we have learned in EDU 267 and showcase our knowledge around developing a science unit. We developed the curriculum, instructional strategies, lesson plan, rubric, and assssments ourselves. This artifact relates to standard seven planning for instruction because standard seven is the teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the community context. This standard goes perfect with this assignment because I had to plan a whole unit for kindergarten science and this will help prep me for future unit plannings.

I really enjoyed this assignment even though it seems very long and has a lot of steps to it, I will be having to do this for my future classroom possibly for each subject. This is jsut another way of preparing me for my future carrier as a an educator. This expands my knowledge because it gives me more practice when having to write a unit for a subject. I can also use this as a reference or for help in my future classroom when teaching a science lesson.
