Everyone has different opinions on people and their life stories. No one has the same life story or will tell their story the same way. In my opinion everyone tells their stories different ways and no one should question them about it. In “Life Stories” by Julie Beck she says “In telling the story of how you became who you are, and of who you’re on your way to becoming, the story itself becomes a part of who you are.”. When I read this I wasn’t sure how to feel about it to be honest. It was kinda a confusing statement for me because I didn’t think of it as not becoming a part of who you are. But I can see the other side of where it doesn’t define everything about your life or being a part of you and that opened my eyes to more views on it.
In “I am not a Story” by Galen Strawson he said “I think it’s false-false that everyone stories themselves, and false that it’s always a good thing.”. When he said this I agreed with it a lot because everyone lies. Let’s be honest not everyone tells the truth even if they say they do. People can twist their stories around with anything but I do not think people would twist around their life stories unless it is something they really cannot talk about because it is a triggering life experience that happened to them. That is a time that I could see someone twisting around a life story in my opinion.
When I interviewed Karen Tasker a member of the UNE staff here she had stories that effected her life. She says “I don’t have one big story that shapes my identity I have a lot of little stories that have changed my identity.” After interviewing her I went back to that statement. The reason I kept going back to that statement is because I couldn’t agree more with it. I don’t have one story that shapes my identity or who I am, I have a lot of little stories. I think everyone has a lot of little stories that shape them. Everyone’s life is different and I think that statement Karen said is very true and applies to everyone. Yes one story may be bigger then another but all the little stories go up into one.

You make some wonderful points and you have a lot to work with. Revisit the Barclay template and see if you can label your sentences using Barclay’s system. You might find that you need to reorganize your sentences so that they fit the Barclay model. I encourage you to do so!
