I want to add one thing. I noticed that you mentioned that you were confused toward the end of the essay–and I think it may be worth trying to better understand what he’s arguing. When Erard says that a metaphor could over-simplify something–and with dangerous results–he just may be getting at something important. Can you find a way to connect this warning with Khullar’s discussion?
