About Me
My name is Isabella Fazio and I am a junior Elementary Education major with a minor in Psychology. I am from a town called Hopatcong in northern New Jersey. I am 21 years old and my future grade to teach has
got to be kindergarten. Over summer 2022 I had done a lot of thinking and decided that i wanted to change my major. I use to be a psychology major but I started to look at my future and think “Do I still really wanna go through with this?”. It is not that I didn’t like what I was learning or doing psychology will always have a special place in my heart but school has always been something I struggled with and for what was best for me in the moment I decided it was time to switch out of it. I had no idea what I wanted to do because psychology has always just been
the one thing i thought of for my career in college. Summer 2022 I started working at a summer camp back home in New Jersey called Jeff Lake Camp, this camp changed my life for the better and helped with my descion in wanting to become a teacher. I was surrounded by teachers for an entire summer so the influence was heavy but I truly fell in love with the fact of still being able to work with children on a different level but by still being able to build relationship and help them along the way. Switching to education was the best descion I ever made. I am truly so happy to have the experiences I do throughout this program with fieldwork and I can’t wait to have my own classroom one day!
